Emma Millar is an experienced non-profit lawyer who has worked with charities and social businesses for over 10 years, offering integrated legal, regulatory, and commercial advice to support their impact and deliver their strategic objectives. She has particular expertise in developing innovative and impactful legal models for social ventures. She also supports clients in managing the implications of these models in areas such as internal governance, all areas of commercial scale-up, such as licensing, branding considerations, complex research collaboration agreements, and corporate partnerships, and fundraising opportunities in both the philanthropic and social finance spaces.
Drawing on her extensive commercial experience, she advises a wide range of client organisations, including spin-outs from world-leading universities, learned societies, and international think tanks.
Emma is a member of both the Law Society and the Charity Law Association, and a non-executive director for Social Enterprise East of England.
