About
Ben Brice has specialised in charity law and associated regulatory and governance work since 2006. His experience includes advising on issues such as charity formation, registration and incorporation, joint ventures, mergers and collaborations, grant making, fundraising, sponsorship, and commercial participation agreements.
With deep sector knowledge and expertise, he works closely with a broad range of clients, assisting them in navigating legal and governance challenges as legislation evolves and third sector regulators introduce tighter scrutiny. This frequently involves dealing with these regulators, including the Charity Commission and the Privy Council. He also has a commercial licensing background, and advises on related concerns, including the protection and exploitation of charity brands and research.
Ben was praised by one client in Chambers & Partners 2025 for his “expert advice that was easy for us as a charity to understand”. He is a member of both the Law Society and the Charity Law Association.
