Broadfield Appoints Two Partners in London, Strengthening Private Wealth and IP Capabilities

8 June 2026

Broadfield today announced the appointment of Sarah Sarwar and Ash von Schwan as partners in its London office. The appointments deepen the firm’s capability to advise clients on complex private wealth matters and high-value intellectual property and technology transactions, as Broadfield continues to build a globally connected platform focused on disciplined execution and modern delivery.

Sarah Sarwar joins Broadfield’s Private Wealth team, advising high-net-worth individuals, internationally mobile families, trustees, and family offices on international estate planning, succession structuring, and wealth preservation. Her practice covers tax planning, cross-border inheritance and conflict-of-laws issues, trust structuring and governance, and probate and estate administration involving international assets and beneficiaries. Sarah is known for combining technical depth with pragmatic, solutions-focused advice on sensitive, high-value matters, often coordinating advisors across multiple jurisdictions to deliver seamless outcomes aligned with long-term family objectives.

Ash von Schwan joins Broadfield’s Commercial team, specialising in intellectual property and technology transactions. Ash advises on the full range of non-contentious IP and commercial matters, with a focus on technology and brand licensing, protection of know-how and trade secrets, strategic collaborations, and IP aspects of corporate transactions. He has advised clients across consumer, luxury, healthcare, life sciences, software and technology, energy and infrastructure, with experience spanning acquisitions and disposals, restructurings, security over global IP portfolios, and complex research and development collaborations.

“Clients want senior, commercially minded counsel that can move quickly across the issues that matter most: protecting value, executing transactions, and managing risk. Sarah and Ash bring experience that strengthens our London platform and reflects how we are building Broadfield: partner-led, highly coordinated, and designed for business outcomes at rational pricing.”
