Work Experience
Explore the world of law through Broadfield’s work experience programmes — designed to inform, inspire, and ignite ambition. Across a structured week of engaging talks, hands-on workshops, and real-world case studies, work experience students gain valuable insight into the legal profession and what it’s like to work at a leading law firm. Whether considering a legal career or just beginning to explore their options, students will have the opportunity to build confidence, ask questions, and develop practical skills in a supportive environment.
Structure
Our paid work experience programmes take place on the below dates:
- Reading office – 17th – 19th February 2026
- London office PRIME programme – 28th – 30th July 2026
- London office – 27th – 29th October 2026
After a comprehensive induction, work experience students will attend skills development workshops, get an insight into working in a law firm and attend networking opportunities.
Work experience students are paid the Living Wage for the area that they are working in. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer work experience outside of the programmes outlined.
Eligibility
Our February and October half-term work experience programmes are open to anyone over the age of 16.
To apply for our London summer work experience, candidates should meet PRIME’s eligibility criteria.

Applications for our February half term work experience in Reading are now open. Applications for London’s summer work experience in collaboration with PRIME open in May and applications for London’s October half term work experience open in August.
