William Gubbins

William Gubbins is a commercially minded employment lawyer, experienced in managing and advising on contentious and non-contentious employment matters and commercial agreements. He provides day-to-day advisory support and risk mitigation to HR and management teams in employment law matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes, termination processes and negotiated exits, redundancies and reorganisations, restrictive covenants, and sensitive reputational management issues.

William is experienced in drafting employment documents, including bespoke staff policies, contracts of employment, and settlement agreements. William also drafts and advises on consultancy and freelance agreements. He acts for clients in respect of employment tribunal proceedings, both in bringing and defending employment tribunal claims, and advising throughout the tribunal process. He is also experienced in handling settlement negotiations in ACAS early conciliation and throughout proceedings. William adopts a pragmatic and commercial approach to support clients and enable them to meet their objectives.

William is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
