Susan Johnson is an experienced adviser on capital taxes, particularly in relation to estate planning for UK and non-UK domiciled individuals and their trustees. She also has extensive experience of advising executors on the administration of complex estates.
As the former head of Christie’s Heritage and Taxation Advisory Service, Susan has specific expertise in tax and other issues relating to art and heritage property. Her clients, who often own private family businesses, rural estates, and heritage property, value her specialist expertise in this area.
Susan has contributed to a number of publications relating to taxation, art and heritage property, and she regularly speaks at industry conferences. She is a member of the Law Society, the Association of Taxation Technicians, the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Professional Advisers to the International Art Market, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
