Simon Painter

Simon Painter is the firm’s head of property litigation, with specialist expertise in both commercial and residential property disputes. He also has a substantial track record of handling commercial disputes, professional negligence claims, and claims for compensation arising out of compulsory purchase powers. His extensive experience spans all levels of court work, including the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, as well as other dispute resolution forums including the property tribunals, arbitration, and mediation.

Simon is recognised for his property litigation expertise and often speaks and writes on related matters, including contributing to the Property Law Journal, Property Investor Today and Property Wire. He was praised in Legal 500, 2024 for his “great experience and insight.”

Simon is a member of the Law Society, the London Solicitors Litigation Association, the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, and the Property Litigation Association.
