Richard Langley

Senior Partner, Richard Langley, has 30 years of experience handling a broad range of commercial and public law litigation. In his commercial litigation practice, he has acted for individuals, charities, corporations, and public bodies, in cases involving breaches of contract, internal company disputes, breaches of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, and defamation.

In addition, Richard leads our practice as Privy Council agents. This practice has conducted over 50 appeals to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council over the past 10 years.

Described by Legal 500 as “a superb lawyer” and a “deep thinker”, Richard is known for his expertise in judicial review. He has handled high profile cases for an extensive range of clients, including ACPO, Arts Council England, the Environment Agency, Esso, the Law Society, Network Rail, and many local authorities. He is a committee member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
