About
Owen Byrne advises UK clients on the long term protection of wealth between generations. He acts for many families, or their trustees, who own private family businesses, landed estates and significant chattels collections, or heritage property. He particularly enjoys advising on and drafting wills and Letters of Wishes for those who have non-standard circumstances. Clients appreciate his ability to offer highly technical tax efficiency advice tailored to their own specific requirements.
He is known for supporting entrepreneurs throughout the lifecycle of their business, including advising them on making an efficient will, personal tax strategies around sale, and managing succession to the next generation. His experience includes acting for the executors of an estate in donating a collection of letters from a former Poet Laureate to the nation in lieu of inheritance tax.
Owen is a member of both the Law Society and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
