Oliver Willis advises clients on commercial contracts and data protection, with a focus on technology procurement and infrastructure projects. He advises on contracts for software and IT infrastructure, shared services agreements, major outsourcing projects, marketing agreements, and public-private joint ventures, as well as advising public and private bodies using Crown Commercial Service and NHS standard contracts. He also advises stakeholders in infrastructure projects on removing objections, securing mitigation, agreeing compensation, and establishing frameworks for the exercise of development powers. His expertise encompasses guidance on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK privacy law, including transfers of data out of the EEA and data sharing contracts.
Oliver’s clients include large membership organisations, organisations holding large amounts of health data, and public bodies using statutory powers to gather data. He also advises charities and non-profits on compliant fundraising and supporter engagement.
