Karen Kirkham has over 24 years of legal experience, and is recognised for her extensive expertise in dealing with a full range of construction matters.
She has worked for developers, funders, institutional investors, contractors, and consultants, and has contributed to major urban regeneration, infrastructure, and commercial projects. Her experience includes acting for a London / North East based developer on the construction, funding, and letting of an £80 million rail vehicle manufacturing facility in the North East, two university business schools, a sports club in the Midlands, and a hotel in Cambridge.
Karen qualified as a barrister and was a Legal Director of the Construction Confederation, where she sat on various JCT committees and in local government. In 2021, she was appointed as the first female chair of the JCT. She is also a member of the Law Society.
