Judith Smyth

Judith is a litigator experienced in working with landlords and tenants in various sectors, including social housing providers, charities, developers, investors, government entities, and high net worth individuals. She advises on several contentious commercial, residential, and agricultural property issues, acting at every level from County Courts and First Tier Tribunal to the Supreme Court. Her expertise also extends to advising creditor landlords on tenant insolvency issues.

In residential property, she is known for advising on possession claims, disrepair, service charge challenges, and obtaining orders for sale, together with a wide range of contentious property matters. She also advises on property-related professional negligence claims and environmental matters linked to property rights and provides guidance on mitigating litigation risk in property transactions and development projects.
