John has specialised in the residential landlord and tenant field for more than 30 years, and has a particularly strong reputation in the leasehold enfranchisement of houses and flats, and lease extensions for flats.
He is a leading practitioner for tenant clients in specialist leasehold reform and is a recognised advisor for properties on the Cadogan, Grosvenor, Wellcome Trust, Howard de Walden and other principal central London estates. He also advises many managing agents and tenant management companies on tenancy issues.
John is a member of both the Law Society and the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners. His expertise in enfranchisement and lease extension work is widely acknowledged. In Chambers & Partners HNW 2024, he was described as “one of the recognised leaders.”
