John Hutchinson

John Hutchinson leads Broadfield UK, managing a team of more than 400 professionals while driving the firm’s strategic direction. A corporate lawyer by background, he has spent his career advising on M&A transactions, private equity investments, and IPOs, working closely with entrepreneurs and growth-focused businesses. His experience spans industries such as technology, energy, and financial services, with a focus on structuring complex deals that align with client objectives.

From 2007 to 2019, while remaining a partner at BDB Pitmans (a predecessor firm to Broadfield UK), John also served as Managing Partner of Epi-V LLP, a private equity investment fund supporting innovative technology companies in the oil and gas sector across Europe and North America. His track record includes leading high-profile transactions, such as the sale of Ridgeway Motor Group for £107.7 million and the IPO of Electric Guitar PLC.

John remains an active investor and advisor to technology companies, leveraging his deep industry knowledge to support business growth and strategic exits. He has held non-executive leadership roles across multiple sectors and continues to play a key role in shaping Broadfield UK’s expansion and market positioning.
