John Darnton is a trained collaborative lawyer with almost 30 years of experience in dealing with all aspects of matrimonial work. He is known for his ability to resolve complex financial and child-related disputes, particularly those with an international element.
He often works closely with members of Broadfield’s private wealth team, advising on cases involving both onshore and offshore trusts, as well as negotiating and drafting pre and post-marital agreements, and advising on asset protection measures. He also has experience of advising on civil partnerships and related cohabitation and pre-civil partnership agreements. As a member of Broadfield’s will and trusts disputes team, he also focuses on claims brought against estates for financial provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
John is a member of both the Law Society and Resolution.
