Ian is a knowledgeable member of Broadfield’s employment team, where he undertakes a variety of contentious and non-contentious work. He assists with corporate transactions and advises on business restructuring and Transfer of Undertaking (TUPE) Regulations transfers. His extensive experience includes defending a number of sizable and complex employment tribunal claims.
His expertise extends to advising HR teams on contractual and procedural matters and acting for senior individuals in the employment tribunal and settlement negotiations. His previous experience includes acting for a high profile public body in defending a complex and extremely sensitive employment tribunal claim, and advising a leading international airline on all UK HR matters, including redrafting their staff handbook and related HR procedure.
Ian is praised for his “expert knowledge and quality of advice” in Chambers & Partners 2025. He is a member of both the Law Society and the Employment Lawyers Association.
