Haroop Ahluwalia is a Senior Associate in the Family team at Broadfield, advising on all aspects of private family law, acting for individuals in relation to divorce and separation, including cases involving significant assets, business interests, trusts, pensions and property portfolios.
He has particular experience advising on Schedule 1 Children Act claims, cohabitation disputes under TOLATA, and the negotiation and drafting of pre and post-nuptial agreements. He is regularly instructed in matters involving technical and procedural complexity and is experienced in managing cases through all stages of litigation, including contested financial remedy proceedings. Haroop also advises on alternative dispute resolution where appropriate, including negotiation and private FDRs.
Haroop works closely with clients and other professional advisers to develop strategies aligned with both legal and wider financial objectives. Prior to joining Broadfield Law, Haroop practised at established London family law firms, acting on a wide range of complex family matters.
