Gordon Davidson is a dynamic and seasoned advisor with 15 years specializing in complex turnaround and distressed matters, insolvencies and special situations, across multiple jurisdictions. His expertise spans debt restructurings and workouts, strategic advisory, enforcement, insolvency, and related litigation, as well as distressed financing and broader capital solutions.
Gordon previously led and built a global firm’s restructuring practice in Hong Kong and Singapore, from zero presence into a major player in the region. He led or was instrumental in many of the most prominent restructurings, from Hilong, RiseSun, China Fortune, Modern Land, Evergrande, Novaland (via the ICC in Singapore) to Sino-Ocean, and Kaisa.
Gordon’s deep expertise and commercial approach was honed in Europe and offshore, acting for public and private creditors and debtors alike. This includes time spent on secondment buyside at a major distressed debt hedge fund, and advising on high-stakes matters, including the Azzurri Group, Travelex, Re Ballantyne, Mongolian Mining restructurings and the Lehman Brothers Waterfall II litigation.

Gordon developed his practice at leading US law firms in London and HK, and offshore. He holds a BA/MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and an LLM in International Financial Law from King’s College, University of London
