Chris Yu specialises in cross-border debt restructurings, with experience in special situations transactions, refinancings, distressed M&A, winding-up proceedings and scheme of arrangement matters in Hong Kong and other jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Broadfield, Chris trained and practised at a leading U.S. law firm, where he worked on matters involving private equity, M&A, special situations, debt capital markets, and restructurings. He then spent time with the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) gaining hands-on experience.

Chris holds a BBA (Law) and an LLB from The University of Hong Kong, where he also completed his PCLL. Chris is qualified to practice in Hong Kong and England & Wales. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
