Aoife Murphy is an accomplished property lawyer, with extensive experience of dealing with every stage of litigation, and handling claims at every level, from the County Courts up to the Court of Appeal. She has a track record of conducting a range of mediations, and she is open to alternative approaches to dispute resolution.
She regularly acts for both landlords and tenants in commercial and residential leasehold disputes including breach of covenant, disrepair claims, and forfeiture and possession actions. She also acts for developers and landowners in disputes relating to restrictive covenants, trespass, and adverse possession. Her previous experience includes acting for a real estate investor in a dispute relating to defective works at a 13 apartment renovation project, and acting for a residential long leaseholder in a claim against the freeholder for unreasonably withholding consent to alterations.
