Alexander Madafiglio is an experienced planning and environment lawyer who advises a variety of clients on a broad range of planning, environmental, and land-related matters. He has advised electricity generation and transmission providers on planning and compulsory purchase obligations, rail promoters and landowners affected by rail projects on planning and compulsory purchase rights and obligations and developers of mixed used estate on a range of planning obligations, including ligation relating to the proposals. He has acted on projects throughout their lifecycle, from early strategic advice through to litigation and dispute resolution.
Alexander qualified in Australia and has worked in the United Kingdom for several years. He has advised local and national government bodies, as well as private sector clients, on complex development applications, infrastructure approvals, and regulatory compliance. He has experience representing clients in court and tribunal proceedings and has instructed Counsel in real estate planning matters, including merits reviews, judicial reviews, and contract disputes. Alexander’s practice includes advising on residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments, including negotiating planning conditions, addressing environmental approvals, and navigating compulsory land acquisition processes.
