Nick specialises in advising on public law, the promotion of major infrastructure projects, and related planning and environmental law issues. He has advised on numerous DCOs, transport and works act orders, harbour revision orders and compulsory purchase orders, for clients including National Grid, Network Rail, and Transport for London. He is a long-term advisor to the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales on a wide range of issues, and also regularly advises local authorities.
As one of only a dozen active parliamentary agents, Nick has promoted private bills for banks, cemeteries, local authorities, and navigation authorities, and acted on the hybrid bills for Crossrail 1 and HS2.
Nick is a former barrister, and has appeared as an advocate before public inquiries and select committees. He is a member of the Law Society, the National Infrastructure Planning Association, the Society of Parliamentary Agents, and the UK Environmental Law Association.
